Jose Hierro

CEIP José Hierro is a public center for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. It offers Early Childhood Education, starting from the age of 3, and Primary Education, and includes English among its teachings. It publishes information about services and complementary activities, as well as about the admission process and enrollment, and promotes initiatives related to reading and the library.

Throughout the school year, the center organizes various activities and celebrations. Among them are Book Week and Cultural Week, which in one of its editions was dedicated to civilizations and involved students in several workshops. It also celebrates the feast of San Isidro, for which students can attend dressed as chulapos and chulapas, and a solidarity race held in collaboration with CEE María Isabel Zulueta, whose proceeds are allocated to a specific cause each year. Additionally, it holds open house days for families, without the need for prior registration, and meetings at the beginning of the school year.

The center informs families about individualized school breakfast assistance and lunch scholarships, as well as scholarships and aids for students with specific educational support needs. It has a school council, faculty, and a family association (AFA), and provides a calendar of events with the planned activities.
