Duque De Rivas

The Instituto de Enseñanza Secundaria Duque de Rivas is a public center located in Rivas-Vaciamadrid that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP), with basic, intermediate, and advanced training cycles. Its curriculum is delivered in Spanish with English included in the teaching, and it features the EducaMadrid Virtual Classroom as a support platform.

The center develops various proprietary projects: a coexistence project, a linguistic immersion project, a digital center project, a reading competence improvement project, and environmental projects. It also participates in the Erasmus+ program and the 4º ESO+Empresa Project, and has a TGD Classroom, afternoon sports activities, academic guidance, and the MENTORES program for vocational training advice. Among its services, it has a cafeteria.

The administrative and academic activity includes admission and enrollment processes for both ESO and Bachillerato as well as for training cycles, in addition to validations, issuance of certificates and titles, cancellations and exemptions, locker rentals, the ACCEDE program for book loans, and a job placement service. The center provides information about evaluation, university entrance exams (PAU), and subject recovery procedures. It is well connected by public transport, with nearby bus and metro stops.
