Enrique Tierno Galvan

CEIP Enrique Tierno Galván is a public center for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in San Sebastián de los Reyes. It is under the DAT Norte, of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Community of Madrid. Its educational approach seeks an integral and inclusive training of students through active methodologies that engage the student in their own learning, through center and classroom projects where students access knowledge through research and information management. The center offers Early Childhood (first and second cycle) and Primary Education, and works in Spanish and English.

Among its projects are the expansion of English sessions at all levels, with splits in a weekly session and conversation assistants in English; the ABN method for learning mathematics; biweekly robotics and programming sessions for all students; a school garden from Early Childhood to Primary; a library project; an annual art project common to the entire center; the Zero Waste Recess program; a sustainable development and ecology project; another project to improve coexistence, and a reading club for the third cycle.

The center operates on a continuous schedule from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and offers a dining service from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. It has digital boards and interactive panels in classrooms, manipulative materials, virtual classrooms to support lessons, tablets for certain activities, and the Roble application for communication with families. It has an AMPA and a full-time nursing graduate. It also offers library services and extracurricular activities.
