About the school
CEIP Francisco Carrillo is a public educational center located in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid). It is under the Territorial Area Directorate of Madrid-North, affiliated with the Ministry of Education of the Community of Madrid. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (ages 3 to 6) and Primary Education (ages 6 to 12).
Since the 2018-2019 school year, the center has been bilingual and is part of the Network of Bilingual Public Schools of the Community of Madrid. Its bilingual program in Primary aims for students to know and use both Spanish and English appropriately, in both oral and written forms, and to acquire the communicative competence necessary to navigate everyday situations in English with ease.
The center is a preferred TGD center and has the Aula Caramelo, a classroom dedicated to the attention of students with autism spectrum disorder, with staff assigned exclusively to it. Among its own projects are a school magazine and the center's blog, which document the activities and daily life of the school. For communication with families, it uses the Roble Platform. The center is well connected by public transport, with Renfe commuter trains (Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes line station) and metro nearby.
