San Sebastian

CEIP San Sebastián is a public center located in San Sebastián de los Reyes that offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, from 3 to 6 years) and Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years). Its offerings are complemented by English language teaching and services for meals and school transportation.

The educational project of the center is inspired by the pedagogical principles of the Institución Libre de Enseñanza and incorporates contributions from recent pedagogical research. Among its approaches is to train students in effort, critical spirit, perseverance, and well-done work, understood as attitudes compatible with personal development. The center defines itself as an open space to linguistic and cultural diversity, where participation and coexistence among all members of the educational community are promoted. Its identity marks include coexistence, participation, attention, and respect for diversity.

The facilities feature large green areas and various spaces oriented towards learning. The center develops the San Sensación Project, focused on service-learning projects that include a newspaper, a radio, and a school television, as well as the Sansemillas Project. It also has a complaint box managed by the Community of Madrid's Coexistence and School Bullying Unit.
