El Ardal International School

El Ardal is a private school for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in San Sebastián de los Reyes. It is defined as an active school in a natural environment, with nearly 30 years of experience in Early Childhood and 10 years in Primary. Its educational project is based on Child-Centered Learning (Rogers), which places the interests and voice of the students at the center of the learning experience. The center coherently combines various pedagogies and active methodologies, respecting the pace and needs of each individual, with flexible timings and an inclusive approach. The school is situated on a property of about 12,000 square meters of green areas, with animals and a bright, warm, family-friendly building, where a large part of the day is spent outdoors. The educational stages include Early Childhood first cycle (0-3 years), Early Childhood second cycle (3-6 years), and Primary (6-12 years), with a Spanish curriculum and instruction in Spanish and English. In Early Childhood, English and sign language are introduced, and mixed-age groups are formed (18 months-3 years and 3-6 years). In Primary, artistic and sports competencies are developed, along with English and family participation. The curricular framework is aligned with the LOMLOE and is adapted to the center's methodology through dynamic activities and interdisciplinary projects. The center offers a dining service with organic, balanced catering and fresh, seasonal foods, as well as extracurricular activities. Its facilities include a football field, athletics track, computer room, school garden, and playground. The professional team is characterized by its vocation, specialization, and commitment, and most of its members have been at the center for many years.
