Utmar

Escola Utmar is a privately owned center located in Esplugues de Llobregat, between the neighborhoods of Can Vidalet and Pubilla Cases. It offers the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (Llar d'Infants), the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education. It is defined as a family-oriented school open to the community and has two buildings where the second cycle of Early Childhood Education is taught, one in Esplugues de Llobregat and another in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Regarding languages, the center works with Catalan, Spanish, and English.

Its educational project is based on comprehensive education aimed at future challenges, integrating new technologies, innovation in working methods, cooperative learning, multilingualism, and emotional and values education. In the Llar d'Infants, which supports children from 4 months to 3 years, play is the foundation of learning, and classrooms are organized into microspaces for multiple intelligences; linguistic development is worked on through praxises, stories, and an introduction to phonological awareness, with manipulative materials, psychomotricity, and attention to emotional well-being, as well as an introduction to English in small groups twice a week. In the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, systematic learning processes are progressively intensified through project work, work corners, symbolic play, phonological awareness, literacy, manipulative mathematics, and emotional education, with English learning in small groups and in the area of Psychomotricity, along with digital resources in the classrooms.

In Primary Education, the center focuses on achieving basic competencies, while in Secondary Education, it aims at developing students' personal autonomy. Outside of school hours, it offers care, a dining service with activities at noon, extracurricular activities — such as Utmar Dance — and summer camps in June and July, as well as school transport services. The school schedule is divided into morning and afternoon sessions.
