Institut Joaquim Blume

Institut Joaquim Blume is a public center located in Esplugues de Llobregat that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and a higher vocational training (FP) cycle in teaching and socio-sportive animation. Its identity revolves around sports, as summarized by its motto "Growing in sports," present in the center's own name.

The institute has an English language assistant who has supported students in improving their communication skills, has energized an English Corner, and has introduced aspects of British culture, encouraging students to express themselves in English. The center uses the Stadium platform as a virtual learning environment.

Throughout the school year, various activities and projects are developed. Bachillerato students participate in workshops about the dangers of sharing photographs and videos on social networks, addressing issues such as sexting, sextortion, and the right to image and privacy. Workshops on addictions, specifically regarding cannabis, are conducted for 4th ESO and 1st Bachillerato students. 4th ESO students carry out community service that involves preparing physical-sport activities for students from another center in the municipality. In 3rd ESO, students participate in the Audiència Jove, a participation project promoted by the Esplugues de Llobregat City Council, and undertake a discovery outing through a historical route of the locality. Additionally, visits to exhibitions and activities on sustainable mobility with immersive technologies have been organized, as well as the celebration of Sant Jordi with a scavenger hunt prepared by vocational training students for the rest of the courses.
