Institut Josep Mestres I Busquets

Institut Josep Mestres i Busquets is a public secondary school in Viladecans that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato. In the Bachillerato stage, it offers the Artistic, Scientific and Technological, and Humanities and Social modalities. Tutorial action is present in both stages, and in Bachillerato, the Research Project (Treball de Recerca) includes co-supervision. The working languages of the center are Catalan and Spanish. It has a school transport service and a parents' association (AMPA) with collaboration pathways for families.

The center develops programs and projects grouped into areas: the scientific-technological and the personal and social, which includes peer tutoring, Acció Cultural +3, and Campus Ítaca. These are supplemented by mediation, the reading plan, the Health and School Program, the Comprehensive Health Program (SI), the Òrbita Project, and linguistic resources. In the digital area, it has a Digital Center Strategy, which encompasses the digital reception of students, teachers, and families, as well as the digital competence of students and teachers, a communication plan, and the use of the Clickedu platform. The center also offers training for families and publishes the school calendar and the list of textbooks for each course.
