Escola Montserratina

Escola Montserratina is a public school in Viladecans that provides early childhood and primary education. The early childhood stage is organized into initial, middle, and upper levels, and the center emphasizes language acquisition, with proposals aimed at stimulating the oral expression of the youngest children. Artistic projects are also developed: early childhood students have worked on the figure of the artist Yayoi Kusama, experimenting with techniques such as the use of dots and repetitive patterns on various materials and supports. The center presents itself with the idea that it takes a whole tribe to educate a child.

In primary education, the English area is also worked on through literature, with stories that seek a more natural and meaningful learning experience, in addition to bringing students closer to other cultures and fostering critical thinking, creativity, and empathy. The school carries out the CUEME project in fifth grade, participates in sports meetings and joint activities with other centers in Viladecans and neighboring towns, and organizes outings and workshops, including baseball and road education. The educational community has a parents' association and a school radio station, and the center offers a midday space service. The center is located next to the Poliesportiu Montserratina, with bus stops nearby.
