Luis De Gongora

CEIP Luis de Góngora is a public center located in Leganés. It offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education stages. Among its complementary services are the school cafeteria, school breakfast, and school transportation. Regarding languages, the center conducts its activities in Spanish and English.

The center has its own project for learning English, which involves increasing the weekly sessions of this language from three to five. The Jolly Phonics phonetic-synthetic method is progressively implemented, specific terminology from other areas is reinforced, and students are exposed to real communication situations, with special attention to oral language. Additionally, the center has obtained the "Centro Aula del Futuro" seal, which recognizes its spaces, active methodologies, and use of digital technologies, valid until December 31, 2026. Among its programs and projects are the school garden, the reading plan, and a creativity project.

The educational community of the center is made up of the teaching team, the school council, and the AMPA. The center has institutional documents such as the educational project and the rules of organization, operation, and coexistence. It organizes complementary and extracurricular activities, including outings and excursions, as well as celebrations such as Peace Day, Christmas, the Water Gincana, Halloween, Carnival, and Book Day. In the cafeteria area, the center develops programs such as Fish Revolution and Stop Food Waste Program, and has specific regulations, cafeteria breaks, and a security and customer service.
