Jose De Churriguera

IES José de Churriguera is a public educational center located in Leganés. It offers Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), which covers ages 12 to 16, and Higher Vocational Training. The language of instruction is Spanish. The center has a history of 50 years of shared experience.

Among its services and programs, the center offers the Aula Mentor, training linked to UNED, and a Digital Skills course. It participates in the ACCEDE program for the delivery of textbooks and develops initiatives such as DELF preparation, Class Band, the Refuerza program, 4º ESO + Empresa, the Debate League, and workshops from the Tutorial Action Plan. It also has a TGD Schooling Center and participates in the Fruit and Milk program. In terms of participation and coexistence, it promotes projects like Improving Participation and Coexistence, Alternative Playgrounds, Our Violet is a Point, My Center is Your Center, DeJóvenes Correspondents, Radio Churri, and Female XXI. It is also part of the territorial cooperation program for Strengthening Reading Competence.

The 4º ESO + Empresa program, which the center implemented for the first time in Leganés, consists of voluntary stays of 3 to 5 days in companies and institutions, aiming to bring the educational field closer to the labor market. The center is well connected by public transport, with nearby bus stops and a metro station.
