Lli Privada Picarol-Foix

La Llar d'Infants Picarol is a privately owned school located in Vilafranca del Penedès, dedicated to early childhood education in its two cycles, from 0 to 3 and from 3 to 6 years old. With over fifty years of experience, it presents itself as a close, welcoming, and respectful center that supports families. Its educational project is structured around spaces designed for exploration and experimentation, project-based work, the promotion of critical thinking, and cooperative work. Regarding services, it offers morning care (madrugadores) between 7:30 and 8:30, during which children have breakfast, participate in activities in a relaxed environment, and can sleep if needed. It has a dining room with its own kitchen, run by its own cook, offering three types of menus: one for babies, with pureed or solid options based on various vegetables alternating with chicken, beef, fish, and eggs; a regular menu starting from one year old; and a diet menu. Adaptations are made based on allergies, intolerances, or other specific needs. The daily menu includes an afternoon snack, adapted to each child's age. The dining room can be used regularly or occasionally, with prior notice, and in the latter case, it includes lunch, the afternoon snack, and midday hours (from 1 PM to 3 PM). The center also has an educational guidance service, a space where families can share doubts or concerns about their children's education, with a humanistic approach aimed at fostering the development of each child's potential and supporting parents in that task.

At the end of the school year, the center offers a summer camp for children from P-3, from the last week of June to mid-August, with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and the possibility of enrolling by weeks or for the entire period. During three of those weeks, a swimming course is held at a water complex. The activities of the summer camp are playful and stem from project-based work and corners, allowing children to decide what to do and how in a relaxed and cooperative environment. The center keeps enrollment open throughout the year and offers the possibility of requesting an interview. Its regular hours are from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Nearby, there are bus stops and a commuter train station.
