Institut Ramon Barbat I Miracle

Institut Ramon Barbat i Miracle is a public center in Vila-seca that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP) at both intermediate and advanced levels. Instruction is provided in Spanish and Catalan.

The center develops its own projects and activities. Among them, the 2nd year ESO students of the project "Un, dos, tres i acció!" created a Catalan-English dictionary. Literary conferences are also organized, such as those offered by the writer Maite Carranza in the Aula Josep Gras of the institute. The center has an annual cover design contest for the agenda in which 1st year ESO students participate.

In the field of vocational training, 2nd year intermediate level students of Commercial Activities and 1st year advanced level students of Marketing and Advertising developed campaigns to promote local commerce in Vila-seca. Additionally, intermediate level students of Commercial Activities undertook an international mobility to Turkey, the first of its kind in the institute's vocational training programs. The center also organizes charitable theater performances, such as "En Barbat està fora d'òrbita" and "Barbat on Tour", with proceeds going to charitable causes. Furthermore, chess classes are offered in collaboration with the Vila-seca Chess Club, and students participate in the Goethe Institute's exams.
