Escola Sant Bernat Calvó

Escola Sant Bernat Calvó is a public center in Vila-seca (Tarragona) that offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, ages 3 to 6) and Primary Education (ages 6 to 12). The vehicular languages of the center are Spanish and Catalan.

The educational project of the center includes various programs and activities of its own. The fourth-grade students participate in Erasmus mobilities, exchanging correspondence with schools in Germany and France. The center also prepares students for Cambridge exams. In the scientific field, fifth-grade students have presented the Higher Cycle project at the Fira Faig, and the center has participated in the Petits Talents Científics congress at CaixaForum Tarragona. Additionally, the center has the FAIG classrooms, inaugurated at a dedicated event.

Among the complementary activities, chess stands out: third-grade students participate in the Trobada d'Escacs del Tarragonès, and the center has a giant chess set for all students to use. The center also celebrates the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace and organizes a solidarity market for the TV3 Marathon. It offers a dining service, with dining scholarships announced annually, and has an AFA (parents' association). The center publishes lists of assigned students and pre-enrollments for each course.
