Principes De Asturias

CEIPSO Príncipes de Asturias is a public center located in Pozuelo de Alarcón that offers early childhood education, primary education, and compulsory secondary education. In secondary education, it provides the complete stage of compulsory secondary education (ESO), from 1st to 4th ESO, with two groups per level. The building has individual lockers for students on all floors, as well as a science lab, technology lab, computer room, library, music room, art workshop, gym, and cafeteria. The center also offers a cafeteria service and a return route.

The learning of English plays a significant role in the project: students take the Section or Program modality depending on the level of English achieved in primary education, and the center has three native conversation assistants from English-speaking countries to practice oral language. In 2nd ESO, exchanges are organized with English-speaking countries, with stays in educational centers and accommodation with families. The center participates in programs such as 4º+Empresa, Global Scholars, and Orientaline, aimed at preparing for future employment and understanding other cultures. Students in 4th ESO have reserved places in the Gerardo Diego and Camilo José Cela institutes to pursue Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18).

The teaching staff includes permanent teachers in language, English, biology, and mathematics, as well as professionals who repeat each year integrated into the center's methodology. As it is a CEIPSO, there is direct communication between primary and secondary teachers, who hold monthly coordination and staff meetings, and joint sessions have been held in areas such as Physical Education. The center has an Educational Project and a Coexistence Plan as reference documents and uses virtual classrooms and digital platforms such as Educamadrid, Teams, Raíces, and Google Classroom. Throughout the year, activities are developed such as sports days, end-of-stage trips, graduations, talent contests, celebrations of Environment Day, a poetry contest, and outings to musicals, in addition to dictations in English in the early childhood education stage.
