Retamar

Retamar is an international school located in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid, with over 60 years of history since its founding in 1966. It develops its educational work inspired by the spirit of Opus Dei and has had the support of Saint Josemaría Escrivá since its inception. Its project combines academic training with the formation of Christian values and an international projection, with personalized attention to each student. It is coeducational in Early Childhood Education and applies differentiated male education from Primary Education, adapting teaching to the developmental characteristics of the students.

It offers a continuous pathway from Early Childhood Education to Higher Vocational Training and integrates the International Baccalaureate (IB) approach. In Early Childhood Education, 50% of the schedule is taught in Spanish and 50% in English, and swimming is included as a curricular activity; this is a project developed between Retamar and Orvalle. In Primary, English occupies 50% of the schedule, and in Secondary, 30%. In Vocational Training, it offers a subsidized Medium Degree in Administrative Management and Microcomputer Systems and Networks, and a private Higher Degree in Administration and Finance and Networked Computer Systems Administration.

The center develops its offerings from Early Childhood Education (first and second cycle), Primary, ESO, and Baccalaureate, with Spanish and English as languages. Among its services are transportation, cafeteria, and uniforms, in addition to its own calendar, and it has a laboratory. 80% of the students graduate with a C1 or C2 level in English.
