Aquinas American School (Ee.uu.)

Aquinas American School is a private Catholic school located in Pozuelo de Alarcón. It offers an American curriculum that prepares students for university admission both in Spain and abroad. Its offerings include early childhood education, organized into K1 and K2 for the first years, and K3, a year dedicated to adapting to school routines and the learning process; Lower School, from 1st to 5th grade; Middle School, from 6th grade to 2nd year of ESO; and High School, from 3rd year of ESO to 2nd year of Bachillerato.

The school seeks a comprehensive education that combines curricular content with the development of personal skills in inquiry, reflection, and communication, as well as an international mindset and a vocation for community service. Instruction is provided in both Spanish and English. In Lower School, the curriculum is based on classical education in the arts and liberal sciences, with a special emphasis on languages as a tool for thinking. In Middle School, analytical, creative, and communication tools are developed through individualized learning in languages, arts, mathematics, sciences, and social sciences, with a program that incorporates study, sports, and arts.

In High School, students can opt for two diplomas, the IB and the AHSD, and they undertake university preparation, in addition to completing volunteer hours. The school has a College Counselor who supports students during the university admission process. All students are assigned to a house to compete in sports and recreational activities, a system that facilitates social integration and a sense of belonging to the community. In Lower School, students can participate in clubs such as theater, Mad Lab, French, cinema, or journalism.
