Ntra. Sra. De La Merced Y San Francisco Javier

La Merced y San Francisco Javier, in Burgos, is a private center of the Company of Jesus. Its educational project is based on the pedagogical model of the Jesuits and on pedagogical innovation, aiming to form individuals in a comprehensive manner: competent, conscious, compassionate, and committed. The project is articulated around four axes: learning to be, learning to know, learning to live together, and learning to live the faith. The Magis program promotes the intellectual and human development of each student to enhance their talents. It offers education from the classroom for ages 0, 1, and 2, early childhood education, primary, secondary, Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP), with a Spanish curriculum and the presence of both Spanish and English. It has the Cambridge English School program.

Among the services for families, it offers early morning care, school meals, after-school care, and extracurricular activities, as well as psychopedagogical and pastoral guidance. The dining room is an adapted space with no acoustic reverberation where hygiene habits, healthy living, and coexistence are encouraged; the menu is communicated quarterly, and special diets are accommodated. Extracurricular activities develop physical, artistic, and cultural skills, as well as social and humanitarian attitudes. The guidance addresses the comprehensive personal development of students in cognitive, emotional, and social aspects. The pastoral seeks for students to deepen their knowledge of themselves and others and to have a personal experience of God. The center also has a library and an auditorium and has documents such as the digital plan, the reading and writing plan, or the Erasmus letter.
