Montserrat

El Col·legi Montserrat is a private school located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona. With a history of one hundred years, the school celebrates its centenary and defines its project as an education that addresses both the intellectual and emotional dimensions of the students.

The school offers Early Childhood Education, in its two cycles, Primary Education, ESO, and Baccalaureate. In the post-compulsory stage, it offers the International Baccalaureate and BachiBac. It is part of the network of International Baccalaureate World Schools, a non-governmental organization allied with UNESCO whose curriculum is continuous from ages 3 to 19. Regarding languages, the project includes Spanish, Catalan, English, French, German, and Italian. The school provides cafeteria service, school transport, and extracurricular activities.

Its methodology places the student at the center of learning: it seeks for students to think for themselves and participate in the curriculum, beyond exam preparation. The school belongs to the Missioneres Filles de la Sagrada Família de Natzaret congregation. According to the school itself, all its students presented themselves in the first call for both the Selectividad and the International Baccalaureate and passed with an average above the national average.
