Escola Pia Balmes

Escola Pia Balmes is a semi-private center in Barcelona, located in the Sant Gervasi - Galvany district. It offers early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), including the Dual Bachillerato modality. Additionally, it provides vocational training (FP), Escola Pia Online, and a PFI in Cooking. The center is part of the Escola Pia de Catalunya and celebrates 125 years of history.

Among its educational projects are SUMMEM and its itineraries, featuring artistic, musical, and scenic proposals for primary education, as well as artistic, musical, and scenic options for secondary education. It also develops a plan to improve English language skills, an exchange program, a digital strategy for the center, an interior dimension line, tutorial and pastoral action, guidance and diversity, and a co-education project.

Regarding services and facilities, the center offers extracurricular activities, summer activities, Espai Migdia, Foc Nou, a media library, Racó TIC, Racó Musical Infantil, Espai Calassanç, as well as a sports team and uniforms. The educational community participates through the AFA, the school council, and the ethical channel, and includes alumni (ALUMNI) and the Rotllana Balmes. The center has made improvements to spaces such as the playground, the event hall, and the kitchen.
