Lli Privada Petit Lys

Escola Lys is a semi-private educational center located in the Putxet i el Farró neighborhood of Barcelona. It is a non-profit cooperative of mothers and fathers, with a single line and open to all families. With over 60 years of experience, it is a Catalan and secular school, deeply rooted in its environment. The center provides early childhood education (0-6 years) and primary education (6-12 years). For secondary education and Bachillerato, it offers continuity in collaborating centers that share its values.

The educational project is based on integral education whose foundation is respect and is built through knowledge, cooperation, and trust. The goal is to form empowered, supportive individuals with critical thinking and the ability to express opinions. Learning is understood as an active process in which children are the protagonists: they learn by doing, thinking, and reflecting, based on direct experience, to become autonomous, curious, and entrepreneurial. The school conceives its environment as a global learning space, where education transcends the classroom and the entire educational community participates. It seeks for students to actively engage in the daily life of the center. The teaching team accompanies each child in their process, helping them discover their own path and establishing a bond with the family.

In the early childhood education stage, the first cycle (0-2 years), known as Petit Lys, takes place in a safe and stimulating environment. In the second cycle (3-5 years), children learn through play, exploring and developing their social and emotional skills. In primary education (6-12 years), critical thinking is developed in a collaborative and motivating environment. For secondary education, continuity is offered at Escola Els Arcs, and for Bachillerato, at CIC. The center has a cafeteria service, school transport, and extracurricular activities, and it uses Spanish, Catalan, and English.
