Escuela Suiza

The Escuela Suiza de Barcelona is an international private school located in Barcelona that provides education from preschool, primary, secondary to high school for students aged 3 to 18. Its educational approach is based on Swiss pedagogy and the learning of five languages — German, Spanish, Catalan, English, and French — with German as the main language of instruction. The project places the individual at the center of interest and promotes values such as respect, solidarity, self-esteem, and responsibility, fostering cultural diversity and the coexistence of Swiss, Spanish, and Catalan cultures in a family-like environment.

Upon completing their studies, students receive a dual Swiss and Spanish diploma, corresponding to the Matura and Selectividad, which facilitates access to universities in various countries. The school maintains an alumni association, ESBalumni, which encourages friendships and solidarity among former students and strengthens the ties between the school and Switzerland.

Regarding the organization of the school day, from P3 to 4th grade, the school hours are from 9:20 AM to 4:35 PM, and from 5th to 12th grade, from 8:35 AM to 4:35 PM. Additionally, the school offers a continuous daily service from eight in the morning until six in the evening for families who wish to use it. The facilities include an underground sports hall of 800 m² and 7 meters in height, and the school is promoting an infrastructure project that includes a new building for the secondary stage, renovated playgrounds, and new green areas; the sports hall is expected to be ready by September 2026 and the ESO building and playgrounds by January 2027.
