Esc. De Música Virtèlia

Virtèlia Music School provides musical training for students of all ages and levels, with courses tailored to each student and a team of specialized teachers. The center is part of the community of the Institució Cultural del CIC.

In the instrumental field, the school offers courses in piano and keyboards, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass, guitar and ukulele within the string family; violin, viola, double bass and cello in bowed strings; clarinet, flute, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, bassoon, horn, oboe and accordion in wind; and drums and batucada in percussion. It also teaches historical instruments such as baroque violin and viola, baroque cello, viola da gamba and violone.

The theoretical training includes programs for babies and family music, musical awareness, musical initiation, musical language (Music Tools), Music Link and Music Lab, music history and preparation for Trinity College London, with junior programs, for adults and seniors. The school has spaces at the Vallmajor headquarters designed for learning and coexistence: a multipurpose auditorium for conferences, presentations and performances, equipped with audio and video technology; a media library with digital and physical resources, such as books, magazines, audiovisual archives and databases; an editorial fund with original works and publications, and a café and dining room.
