Aula Escuela Europea is a private, non-confessional school independent of any specific ideological line, with an educational project that spans from 2 to 18 years and is organized into preschool, primary, secondary, and high school. It declares that the reason for its existence is to provoke a passion for learning. It follows a unique methodology in continuous evolution, whose pedagogical pillars are multilingualism and comprehensive education, and is based on the educational spirit of research and discovery, according to which each student courageously charts their own path. Enrollment remains open throughout the year.
In primary education, the center supports students by trusting in their abilities, enhancing their autonomy, fostering critical thinking, and understanding mistakes as part of learning, while stimulating their curiosity and creativity. The curriculum consolidates linguistic understanding and expression, both oral and written, and delves into other languages: mathematical reasoning, computational thinking, scientific discovery, visual arts, music, and physical expression. Socio-personal skills are developed through the Philia project. Each group has a tutor as a reference person, and there are specialist teachers for foreign languages, computational thinking, music, visual arts, and physical education, in addition to shared teaching between two educators in the classroom. Tutoring, coordination, and a psychologist from the Psychopedagogical Guidance Department continuously monitor the students.
During the first five years of primary education, textbooks are not used: students create their own materials and build their album. A specific project works on the love for reading, with a librarian who assists students in choosing books. In foreign languages, oral expression and comprehension are consolidated, and reading and writing are initiated, with subjects in English and French and theater. In fourth and fifth grades, students develop their first individual research project throughout the year. There are outings to the theater, to the city, or to nature, and three or four-day retreats each year. The school holds an annual course meeting in the first term, maintains interviews with the tutor throughout the year, and shares class activities with families through an application.
