Miguel Hernandez

CEIP Miguel Hernández is a public center for early childhood and primary education located in Alcorcón, Madrid. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and Primary Education (6-12 years) in a continuous schedule, from 09:00 to 14:00 hours. It is a bilingual center that uses the CLIL methodology to integrate the learning of curricular content and the English language. It has a Coexistence Plan that promotes a school climate based on democratic principles, tolerance, respect, solidarity, and peaceful conflict resolution through dialogue, with the aim of preventing bullying and promoting equality and non-discrimination.

Among its complementary services, it offers a dining service with its own kitchen, where healthy daily menus designed by nutritionists are prepared, paying attention to food allergies. It has the "Primeros del Cole" service, which includes breakfast and supervision from 7:30 to 09:00 hours with flexible entry. In the afternoon, from 16:00 to 17:00, cultural and sports extracurricular activities adapted to the preferences of students and families are offered. Additionally, in June and September, an extended schedule from 15:00 to 16:00 is provided with monitors to facilitate family and work reconciliation. The AMPA facilitates family participation, manages extracurricular activities, and organizes training activities for families. The center has renovated spaces organized for the development of pedagogical activities and participates in the PROA+ program (2021-2023), which promotes educational offerings through leverage activities.
