Virgen Del Remedio

Virgen Del Remedio School is a semi-private center located in Alcorcón, with over fifty years of experience in the educational field. It offers early childhood education (first and second cycle), primary education, compulsory secondary education, and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). Its proposal is bilingual, with English and French, and in Bachillerato, it offers the American Dual Bachillerato, which allows obtaining a double qualification.

The center understands education in an integral and global way, as a source of liberation, with a solid foundation in values and a vocation to form citizens committed to positive change. It works with interdisciplinary projects that connect various subjects and has a clear orientation towards internationalization, in collaboration with centers from other countries. In early childhood education, it applies active methodologies that respect the individual pace of students; the Croqueta project translates neuroscience into the classroom through six keys — surprise, creativity, emotional management, holistic vision, movement, and cognitive processes — and employs robotics to introduce students to programming. In primary education, it seeks to form active, creative, supportive, respectful, participative, and independent students, with critical judgment, consolidating the bilingual proposal and completing knowledge areas with complementary activities. In secondary education, it accompanies students in acquiring study habits, work, and effort, respects differences, enhances values education and academic guidance, and develops research skills alongside proficiency in English and French and environmental care. In Bachillerato, it combines methodological innovation, personalized teaching, and values education, preparing students for university entrance exams and access to higher degrees.

The school offers dining services, extended hours with early risers, extracurricular activities, a psycho-pedagogical office, nursing, and a library, as well as school transport and uniforms. It also has a scout group.
