Las Flores

Las Flores is a public preschool in Alcorcón dedicated to the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, with classrooms for children aged 0 to 3 years. The center organizes its activities in classrooms for ages 0-1, 1-2, and 2-3 years, with spaces such as a library and a playground, and provides a cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities. Its schedule extends from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon.

The school works with prepared environments for the little ones to explore, play, and learn, and incorporates sensory activities linked to the seasons, psychomotricity, and science, featuring a scientific character named Nicolo. Throughout the year, it develops an art project around "The Starry Night" by Van Gogh, where children aged 2-3 add elements to the painting through cooperative play. The library and the world of stories play a prominent role, with storytelling activities for the 2-3 year group and visits from theater, juggling, music, and circus shows, such as the emotions circus show and the visit from "The Dream Weaver." The center also celebrates festivities such as Carnival, Peace Day, Book Day, Halloween, Christmas, and International Children's Day, and organizes outings to a farm and a nearby school. It also welcomes high school students who share workshops with the children. Families participate in center activities, such as those dedicated to families and their professions.
