Institut Escola Sant Esteve

Institut Escola Sant Esteve is a public educational center in Castellar del Vallès. It provides early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education, and Bachillerato, with instruction conducted in Spanish, Catalan, and English. The stages and projects of the center encompass students from early childhood to fourth year of ESO.

Among its projects, the celebration of its own English Day stands out, taking advantage of the St. Patrick's Day festivities, which turns the center into a shared learning environment for all students. It also develops the Nepal School DocFest, an initiative in English involving fifth-grade students, in collaboration with the NGO Amics del Nepal, culminating in the presentation of a documentary alongside other participating schools. Additionally, the center maintains a project with Fior di Loto in Pushkar (India), involving teachers from the center itself. Promoting reading and creating short films are also part of its regular activities.

Throughout the school year, it celebrates activities such as Carnival — with a float from the AFA advocating for delays in the center's renovations — the Christmas Concert featuring participation from early childhood, primary, and secondary students, Santa Cecília and Sant Jordi, as well as a solidarity and inclusive race that has now reached its fourth edition. The upper grades (fourth, fifth, and sixth of primary) participate in the Expotardor by building models. The center maintains connections with former students through talks and meetings, has a parent association (AFA), offers a virtual tour and tutorials for families, and has begun construction on its headquarters.
