Ceip Gabriel Miró

CEIP Gabriel Miró is a public school in Alicante, located in the San Blas-Santo Domingo district. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, from 3 to 6 years) and Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years). There are bus and commuter train stops nearby.

The center promotes various own projects. It has established an Erasmus+ committee with the aim of opening the center to an international dimension that enriches student training and the professional development of teachers. Through the Biblioinnova't service-learning project, students from the third cycle created a digital catalog with over 400 books classified by topic and language to promote reading. Its digital strategy seeks to combine the use of tablets with reading and writing. In the artistic field, activities such as cave painting and the initiation to technical drawing are worked on, and in mathematical competence, projects such as creating a fictitious company or shopping situations are proposed. Students in fifth and sixth grades have participated in activities for the European Day of Languages, designing logos, presentations about the city, letters in different languages, and riddles about European cities. The center also publishes a school newspaper, Planeta escolar, and uses the Aules platform.
