Ies Miguel Hernández

IES Miguel Hernández is a public secondary school in Alicante, under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities. It offers ESO and Bachillerato education, with both daytime and evening modalities at this stage, as well as Vocational Training Cycles in Basic, Intermediate, and Higher levels, including the Services of Restoration cycle, linked to the Hospitality and Tourism area.

The center develops an internationalization project through the Erasmus+ VET program, with mobilities for both teaching staff and students. Teaching staff from the institute have undertaken training stays in Lisbon, Florence, Gothenburg, Budapest, and Louviers, among other destinations, in courses focused on critical thinking, classroom management, diversity and inclusion, environmental education, and the use of artificial intelligence in teaching. Intermediate Level students of Services of Restoration have participated in mobilities in France, and 2nd and 3rd ESO students maintain an exchange with a center in Rio Maior (Portugal), with visits in both directions. The institute also celebrates Erasmus Days and pedagogical exchange days.
