Zaketines

C.E.I. Zaketines is a private Early Childhood Education center located in Sevilla, in the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca district. It offers the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3 years) and the second cycle (3-6 years) in Spanish and provides extracurricular activities. It is part of the assistance program for families by the Junta de Andalucía and maintains open support for families to guide and advise them on issues related to their children's education. The center is open eleven months a year, from September to July, with hours from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Its daily work is organized by projects, a way to approach knowledge of reality that starts from listening and observing children to discover their interests and accompany them in learning, so they can set their own pace and build their knowledge and skills. The center's work addresses the motor, cognitive, and social development of students, as well as the acquisition of hygiene and behavior habits, with the aim of providing an educational foundation that facilitates their integration into school. It has qualified staff, educational games and books, suitable facilities for each age, and teaching methods aimed at comfortable and enjoyable learning. Guidance and tutoring accompany both students and their families, seeking collaboration between the center, families, and the environment.

Among its services, it has a morning classroom from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, Monday to Friday, which includes the reception of students, breakfast, and quiet recreational activities designed to gradually activate the children. The dining room operates from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM and is not limited to food: it also works on hygiene and eating habits. Its menus are supervised by nutritionists and are characterized by a higher proportion of vegetables, fresh fruit as dessert at least four days a week, the use of extra virgin olive oil, more fish than meat — which must be lean — the absence of pre-cooked foods, the limitation of fried foods, and a commitment to the Mediterranean diet and organic products. The center has been operating in this environment since 2003.
