Escola Pi Verd

Escola Pi Verd is a public school in Palafrugell that offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and the stage of Primary Education (6-12 years). It has a school cafeteria service and features a parent association (AFA).

Throughout the school year, the center organizes various outings and complementary activities. These include excursions to the natural environment, such as a visit to the Fageda de Olot to study plants and the forest, and to the Iberian settlement of Ullastret, where students participate in a clay workshop. Visits to museums are also scheduled, such as the Museu de la Pesca in Palamós and the Museu del Suro, in addition to a trip to the Aquàrium of Barcelona to learn about marine life. In the area of workshops, students in the initial cycle participate in robotics activities where they build and program small robots, and first graders have swimming sessions. Other initiatives include reading mentorship between fifth and first-grade students, who share reading moments, and family participation afternoons, where they collaborate on tasks such as labeling the trees in the playground. Second and fourth-grade students have stays at the El Vilà colony house in Porqueres, with activities focused on the local flora and fauna.

The center also promotes initiatives to foster coexistence, empathy, and respect among students, such as the inauguration of the Banc de l'Amistat in the Early Childhood and Primary stages. Each year, students participate in the Jocs Florals contest with their literary creations, and second and fourth graders take part in the Petits Comediants activity.
