Escola Cirera

Escola Cirera is a public school located in Mataró. It offers Early Childhood Education (first and second cycle) and Primary Education, with Catalan and Spanish as languages. Its educational project is organized around three axes: inclusion, cooperation, and commitment.

Throughout the school year, the center develops various activities and celebrations. Among them are the literary days around Sant Jordi, where students work on written expression by choosing a textual type and creating their own works. It also celebrates Health Days, focused on emotional work, with activities about physical and mental health where each class addresses a specific emotion. Other events on the calendar include Castanyada and Halloween, with workshops and activities, and the carnival week, whose costumes are linked to an annual area of interest; in one edition, that area of interest was Les Santes. The center also participates in the competition El gust per la lectura, where second-grade students create a literary work based on reading a book. Among its own initiatives is the reading mentorship, which connects students from different grades through meetings between mentors and mentees, and a classroom radio project. Sixth-grade students work on the mother tongues present in the group and conduct workshops on screen usage. The center organizes outings and camps in natural settings, such as stays at the El Pinatar colony house in Gualba, in the Montseny area.

The school has a school dining service and has a website with updated information for families. It also organizes open house days to showcase its educational project.
