Escola Montserrat Solà

Escola Montserrat Solà is a public center for early childhood and primary education in Mataró. It offers the first cycle of early childhood education, the second cycle of early childhood education, and the primary stage, with Spanish and Catalan as languages. Its educational approach is summarized in the motto learn for life, with respect and good treatment.

The center organizes students into four cycles: Petits, Novells, Mitjans, and Grans. Throughout the year, competency projects are developed that integrate different areas of knowledge. The Mitjans cycle has staged a play centered on the history of Mataró and has launched an urban garden, the Conreem space, with the collaboration of families. The Novells groups have worked on the culinary project Bon Profit, with visits from families linked to the restaurant industry, and have participated in a workshop on emotional well-being. They have also carried out activities in English around Sant George's Day, shared with students from other schools.

The Grans groups have participated in a literary walk for Sant Jordi and in theatrical activities related to a play about memory. The center celebrates the Sant Jordi day with literary activities, such as creating rhymes and producing a collective book of stories, and organizes cultural outings, such as attending musical performances. It has a digital learning environment and a family space. In the playground, part of the old asphalt track has been transformed into a natural space called La Muntanyeta, as part of a participatory process involving students.
