Escola Taquígraf Garriga

Escola Taquígraf Garriga is a public center in Esparreguera that provides early childhood education and primary education. Its offerings include the first cycle of early childhood education (0-3), the second cycle of early childhood education (3-6), and the primary stage (6-12). The vehicular languages are Spanish and Catalan, and the center has a school cafeteria service. The organization of the course is structured into small, medium, and large levels, and it has a parent association (AFA).

Students participate in various projects and activities throughout the year. Fifth-grade students, with the help of linguistic assistants from the Projecte Sharing to Learn, record the radio contest "Animal Challenge," framed within the Projecte Schools on Air and broadcasted through the local station Ràdio Esparreguera. Around Sant Jordi, students from third to sixth grade visit the school library's book laboratory "Amors, colors." The center annually celebrates the Cultural Week with workshops and activities for all students, and during the term, third-grade students participate by choosing the cafeteria menu. Among other proposals, fifth-grade students write a letter to their "future self" and, along with sixth graders, work on cohesion dynamics and reflection on values, such as activities inspired by the Humanae project of artist Angélica Dass or work around embroidery diaries. The interior spaces of the center are also used as play and coexistence areas when outdoor access is not possible.

The center has a school library and uses digital tools such as Classroom, Innovamat, and Legiland. Sixth-grade students visit the two public high schools in Esparreguera, INS El Castell and INS El Cairat, to learn about their operations before the transition stage. The School Council of the center unanimously approved a new wording of the Center's Organization and Operation Rules.
