La Vaca Peluda

La Vaca Peluda is a private early childhood education center located in Villanueva de la Cañada. It offers the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3) and the second cycle (3-6). It has a cafeteria, playground, children's park, school transport, and extracurricular activities, providing instruction in both Spanish and English. Its hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 17:00.

The center is defined as a Living School with a strong influence from the Reggio Emilia approach. Its goal is to provide children with a space to learn and to be, respecting their natural rhythms and individual processes. It seeks to make them feel loved and respected to build their autonomy, knowledge, experiences, and their own personality. It trusts in the child's ability to direct their learning according to their own pace, always from acceptance, affection, and respect.

In this approach, educators, teachers, and guides act as opportunity generators and companions, not as transmitters of knowledge; they regulate the spaces and accompany the emotional and developmental process. Families play a significant role as a pillar of the school and have a space to be and to stay, where they jointly accompany the children's processes. The environment is considered an educational interlocutor, so the spaces are designed to be welcoming, meaningful, kind, and aesthetic, oriented towards listening.
