Centre Privat Santiago Apóstol Marxalenes

The Centre Privat Santiago Apóstol Marxalenes is a semi-private school of a religious and diocesan nature located in the La Saïdia district of València. It was entrusted by the Archdiocese of Valencia to the Congregation Cooperatores Veritatis of the Mother of God and is part of the San Vicente Mártir Foundation of Diocesan Schools of Valencia. Its educational project is inspired by the Catholic tradition, and its mission is to evangelize through education, cultivating piety and study. It serves children and young people, especially those in need and distant from the faith.

The center offers Early Childhood Education (from 3 years), Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education (up to 4th ESO). It also has a first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3 years) according to directory data. Its origins date back to the Schools of Ave María, created in 1915 on land ceded to the Church of Valencia, which in 1953 were integrated into the Patronage of the Archdiocese. Since the 1984-85 school year, it has been under the regime of educational concerts. In the 2015-16 school year, it was entrusted to the Congregation Cooperatores Veritatis of the Mother of God. Since the 2017-2018 school year, it has had a remodeled three-story building, energy-efficient, and was later completed with a gym and multipurpose rooms in the semi-basement.

The educational project seeks the balanced development of the person in their physical, psychological, and transcendent dimensions. It includes lines of work on emotional education, virtues, affection and sexuality, service-learning, and cooperative work. The school has a library, sports hall, athletics track, laboratory, cafeteria, gym, and extracurricular activities. The vehicular language is Spanish, and the school hours extend from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 16:30 hours.
