Ceip Doctor Olóriz

CEIP Doctor Olóriz is a public school located in València, in the La Saïdia district. It offers Early Childhood Education, with first and second cycles, and Primary Education, and has a cafeteria service.

In the Early Childhood stage, the center applies an active and motivating methodology, with a globalizing approach that fosters autonomy in learning. The educational team develops its own materials and takes into account the preferences of the students, and work projects are developed that serve as a driving force for learning. The methodology is supported by play and playful activities, and symbolic play as a way to accompany the maturation of the students and prepare them to face Primary Education, where the mastery of instrumental areas and the progressive knowledge of the outside world are sought. Education in values occupies a central place, combining cooperative work with personalized work. By working on projects, families do not buy textbooks and only provide consumable materials, such as cardboards, brushes, paints, or photocopies.

Regarding language treatment, Spanish represents 65% of the load, Valencian 25%, and English 10%. The center has a single line, with one class per course for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds and a capacity of 20 students per classroom. The schedule is split, with no classes on Friday afternoon, and the cafeteria is a voluntary service.
