Montessori Villa Rosita

Montessori Villa Rosita is a private center located in Torrelodones that offers education from early childhood education to Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), covering the stages of early childhood education (0-3 and 3-6), Primary, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato. It is defined as a Montessori secondary school, following this pedagogy. Its program for adolescents aims to guide students towards economic independence through purposeful academic and physical work, so they can assume their role as responsible adults in the world they wish to live in.

Among its pedagogical principles are social organization and community life, connection with nature, and micro-entrepreneurship. Regarding its mission and values, the school guarantees respect for fundamental rights and freedoms and offers education with equal rights and opportunities to all members of its community. It also cultivates values that promote respect for living beings and the environment, particularly the value of natural spaces and sustainable development.

The curricular design is structured around three pillars: artistic expression, which includes oral and written expression as well as artistic expression; personal development, with ethics, mathematics, and language as disciplines that develop intellect, reasoning, and self-expression; and preparation for adult life, through a general education that allows for the free development of human personality.
