Llar D'infants La Pau

Llar d'Infants La Pau is a publicly-owned center in Tàrrega that provides early childhood education, with the first cycle (0-3 years) and second cycle (3-6 years), has a school cafeteria, and operates in Spanish and Catalan.

Its origins date back to 1964, when it was created by Càritas with the collaboration of volunteers from the organization. In the 1972-1973 school year, the school cafeteria was launched, and the first parents' association was established; a year later, the center was organized pedagogically and administratively. Later, a board was created to promote the construction of a new building on municipal land, which opened in the 1979-1980 school year and is still in operation. In the early 1990s, the City Council and the Department of Education signed an agreement for the maintenance of the center.

In November 2025, the center underwent a thorough renovation that expanded its capacity to 146 students. It occupies an area of 2,500 m2, which includes classrooms, a cafeteria, common services, and a large playground.
