Institut Joan Ramon Benaprès

Institut Joan Ramon Benaprès is a public educational center located in Sitges. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with instruction in Catalan, Spanish, and English. Additionally, it provides a wide range of vocational training (FP) that includes intermediate and advanced training cycles, as well as training and insertion programs (IFE and PFI). The center is well connected by public transport, with bus and commuter train stops nearby.

Regarding vocational training, the intermediate cycles include Cooking and Gastronomy, Restaurant Services, and Bakery, Pastry, and Confectionery. The advanced cycles comprise Dietetics, Kitchen Management, Tourism Accommodation Management, and Restaurant Services Management. The training and insertion programs are: IFE Auxiliary in Restaurant Services and Meal Preparation, and PFI Auxiliary of Restaurant Services and Cooking, Kitchen Assistant, and Auxiliary of Nurseries and Gardens.

The center uses the iEduca platform for academic management, tracking grades, justifying absences, and communication with families. It also has the Suro Virtual environment. In the extracurricular field, it offers sports activities organized in collaboration with Tot Esport, including futsal, volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, StyleDance, yoga, and tennis, from 15:30 to 16:45. It also participates in Erasmus+ projects and develops service-learning activities, such as collaboration with Slow Food on the Arca del Gust project. Additionally, it provides information on assistance for students with specific educational support needs (NESE).
