Escola Miquel Utrillo

Escola Miquel Utrillo is a public double-line center located in the Poble Sec neighborhood of Sitges, affiliated with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya. It offers Early Childhood and Primary Education and has a history of fifty years educating in the town. The center was inaugurated on January 11, 1976, and throughout its history, it has adapted its spaces: originally, it had language classrooms and laboratories for natural sciences and physics and chemistry, and later the kindergarten building was constructed, in addition to the Sitges Town Hall installing a computer room, a resource it still has.

Its educational project is structured around globalized work, with learning environments for younger students and project-based learning for older ones. The center emphasizes digital technologies and has iPads, 3D printers, and radio and television studios. The values that guide its work are peace, civility, tolerance, and solidarity, and it identifies with the 'Faig' school model and participates in the #aquiproubullying program.

Among its facilities are a fully renovated gymnasium and various multi-sport courts. It offers a daily reception service with a playroom before and after classes, a dining room with its own kitchen, renovated and equipped with new appliances, serving organic menus, as well as extracurricular activities and school transport. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and Catalan.
