Azahares

CEIP Azahares is a public school in Sevilla that offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and the stage of Primary Education. In Early Childhood, the school has two lines per level in the 3 and 4-year-old groups and three lines in 5 years, with eight classrooms located in the secondary building. Primary Education is organized into three cycles: the first includes 1st and 2nd grades, the second includes 3rd and 4th grades, and the third includes 5th and 6th grades. The vehicular language is Spanish, and students begin learning English from the age of 5, with one session per week.

Regarding methodology, the teaching team works on projects and seeks experiential, creative learning tailored to students' interests. In Early Childhood, specific attention is given to plastic education, manipulative activities, mathematics, literacy, values education, and emotional intelligence, and the outdoor space is conceived as an extension of the classroom, with furniture adapted and differentiated from that of Primary. The school has a gym and SUM, library, school garden, and psychomotricity room, and complements projects with activities and outings. In Primary, each cycle supports students in their academic, personal, and social development.

The school promotes family participation and reinforces the sense of educational community. Among its lines of work are environmental education through the Eco-school program, respect and inclusion through the Inclusive School project, with coeducation and coexistence, and the development of reading skills with the Library's Reading Plan. It is also a collaborating center in the training of future trainee teachers from the University of Sevilla and CEU San Pablo. The school organizes open house days with differentiated schedules according to the stage to inform interested families about its facilities and operations.
