Escola Sant Salvador D'horta

Escola Sant Salvador d'Horta is a public center in Santa Coloma de Farners that provides Early Childhood and Primary Education. Among its facilities, it has a library, sports hall, and football field, and offers dining services and extracurricular activities. The center operates in both Spanish and Catalan.

The center has a Parent-Teacher Association (AFA), an intranet, and a digital strategy, and uses Google tools. The educational activity is organized around its own projects, such as "Vivim Santa Coloma de Farners," and external proposals, like A.R.C. Viu la Poesia, promoted by Òmnium Cultural La Selva Interior, within which the work of Miquel Martí i Pol has been studied. Among the complementary activities organized are the planetarium and astronomy workshops, outings such as the traditional hike to Farners or the visit to the exhibition about Miquel Martí i Pol at the Casa de la Paraula, and the Cultural Week.

Throughout the school year, the center celebrates festivities and gatherings such as Sant Jordi, the Festa de Sant Salvador d'Horta, and the end-of-year festival, and participates in the Trobada de Corals of the Selva region. It also publishes a monthly "musical thread" with songs related to its project and festivities and held a design contest to renew its logo.
