La Inmaculada

La Escola La Inmaculada is a private center in Sant Vicenç dels Horts. Its ownership corresponds to the Fundació Educació Catòlica de la Diòcesi de Sant Feliu de Llobregat, a canonical institution whose purpose is the integral Christian education of families who request it. The educational project of the center is structured around the motto "Stop, look around you." It has an AMPA, a non-profit entity formed by mothers and fathers of the school in which all families can participate, and a monitoring and support service for children provided by qualified personnel, with a program for education in free time.

The center offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. In the linguistic field, English is a key element of the project: in Early Childhood, it is worked through stories, songs, dramatizations, games, and crafts, and in Primary, the oral part is reinforced with a conversation assistant who develops activities in small groups, in addition to teaching the arts area in English (Arts and Craft) from 1st to 6th grade. The school promotes a fourth language, Chinese, which has been progressively implemented and is currently taught from I3 to 6th grade.

In the Early Childhood stage, work is done through projects and environments, with heterogeneous groupings among the different classes, along with psychomotor skills in the gym, an adaptation process to I3 based on routines and play, the promotion of literacy, outings, and the sustainable school project. In Primary, the literacy process is developed with manipulable materials, games, visual resources, and theatrical representations; language corners; reading mentoring between upper cycle students and initial cycle students; robotics; project work in the environmental area, and mathematics with Innovamat. In physical education, activities are carried out in the aquatic environment at the Complex Esportiu Montserrat Canals and the Francesc Macià multipurpose court is used, where the playground and physical education for 4th, 5th, and 6th grades also take place. Sustainability is also worked on with a school garden.
