About the school

Salesians Sant Vicenç dels Horts is a privately owned center located in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, in the province of Barcelona. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP), which includes basic vocational training and dual vocational training at intermediate and higher levels. Additionally, it provides occupational training and tailored training, and develops the Escola-Empresa program. The center is inspired by the figure of Saint John Bosco and the idea that education is a matter of the heart as the axis of its educational project.

In the ESO stage, the center aims to educate individuals who know themselves, are protagonists of their own learning, and are capable of building their life project. Teaching is organized into four courses and combines interdisciplinary projects by areas: the Social and Linguistic Area (Social Sciences and Catalan and Spanish Language) and the Scientific and Technological Area (Mathematics, Biology and Geology, and Physics and Chemistry). The Personal Growth Area is concretized in the Projecte COR, which groups tutoring, Physical Education, Music, Visual and Plastic Arts, and Religion, and incorporates a complementary subject of emotional education. In the courses from 1st to 3rd ESO, elective subjects are offered, while in 4th they are organized into blocks of specific subjects according to the pathway chosen by the students.

The center's project articulates three dimensions: personal, academic, and social and pastoral, with the aim of ensuring comprehensive education. Within the personal project, a Tutorial Action Plan is developed based on personalized support for students, through personal interviews, tutorial follow-up, and shared work with families, along with an inclusive proposal for attention to diversity (SIEI) and a Psychopedagogical Advisory Service (SAPP). The tutorial axes encompass learning strategies, emotional education, affective and sexual education, participation and school organization, and guidance. The center also maintains channels of information and communication directed at students, families, companies, and alumni.
