Escola Riera De Ribes

Escola Riera de Ribes is a public school in Sant Pere de Ribes that presents itself as an open school for all students. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and Primary Education (6-12 years). Its pedagogical approach is based on learning by doing and reflecting on what is done, with the aim of promoting real learning processes in which students can give meaning and personal value to what they learn.

The educational project of the center is structured around several ideas: developing a personal learning history, generating conversation spaces to build a common good, creating social contexts of collaboration and participation that connect educational spaces and times, and reflecting to reformulate and incorporate research and social changes. The school works with its own learning strategies, organizes learning through learning situations, and has its own evaluation model. Among its strategies, the conference stands out, which seeks to develop communication, expression, comprehension, listening, and representation skills through oral and body language, with a growing demand for duration, complexity, and depth as students progress. The center also participates in research groups and the Cinema en Curs program.

Regarding services, it has morning reception and lunchtime, managed through Agora Col·lectivitats. Family participation is channeled through mixed commissions and the association of student families, which promotes initiatives such as the family school. The center publishes documentation about its operation, including the educational commitment letter, the sixth-grade protocol, and orientation materials on homework support.
