La Miranda

La Miranda is a private international school located in Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona. With over 55 years of experience, it serves students from 9 months to 18 years old. It offers Early Childhood Education (from 9 months to 6 years), Primary Education (6-12), Compulsory Secondary Education with the Middle Years Programme (MYP) (12-16), and Baccalaureate (16-18). In this last stage, students can choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the Catalan National Baccalaureate, and pursue the Dual Diploma (American High School) alongside either of the two pathways.

The school is an Apple Distinguished School and emphasizes digital competence, problem-solving, and innovative thinking. It offers areas of innovation such as robotics, design, programming, and digital prototyping. Students develop practical skills, such as writing, publishing, and distributing books in various languages or using the school radio. In terms of languages, English, Catalan, and Spanish are taught, with the possibility of studying French, Mandarin Chinese, German, and Russian, allowing for fluency in multiple languages from an early age.

The school provides services such as a cafeteria, school transport, early morning care, extended hours, and extracurricular activities, which include judo, basketball, futsal, volleyball, and music. Its facilities include a swimming pool, library, sports hall, football field, and computer room. Students participate in competitions and have received recognition in mathematics, judo, basketball, futsal, volleyball, and musical composition. La Miranda prepares its students for access to universities in Spain and abroad, and fosters entrepreneurship and an open mindset.
