Escola Ametllers

Escola Ametllers is a public school in Sant Joan de Vilatorrada. It offers early childhood education, with groups from I3 to I5, and primary education, from first to sixth grade, organized into groups A and B by year. Its motto is "We grow together, we learn to transform." The center defines its pedagogical projects based on restorative and inclusive education, and provides a cafeteria service, a school council, and a parent association (AFA).

The educational proposal includes project-based work, which starts from students' questions to develop research and learning processes. The area of artistic education and visual and plastic arts has a significant weight: students work from the observation of works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgeois, El Anatsui, Yayoi Kusama, and Vincent Van Gogh, using art as a tool to express emotions, ideas, and reflections about their environment. Additionally, the center organizes outings and activities outside the school, such as water activity days at the Canal Olímpic de Castelldefels, with kayaking and Big SUP, aimed at working on balance, coordination, and cooperation. It also celebrates activities and anniversaries throughout the year.
